Growing up in a military family, and one of divorce and change, challenged Christie to find what she needed to root her.

Her love and passion for horses began at an early age. She spent her youth in 4-H and on her families small ranch in the hills of California, which fostered her lifelong passion for all animals. Christie is an advocate for rescue and rehabilitation for animals. She has invented and patented pet products as well as owned and operated a pet boutique and a pet-sitting business. She worked for many years as a professional in the legal field, which ignited her interest in writing as she spent days poring over legal briefs.

She currently lives in Park City, Utah, with her husband, Keith, and their rescues pets Mancha and Milagro.
